Positioned between targets and the backstop, Linatex rubber curtains hang freely to keep bullets and backspatter away from shooters. Self-healing properties mean projectiles pass through leaving only pin-sized holes. Trusted by military and police ranges worldwide.
When projectiles strike rear armour plating, fragments and lead dust are thrown back towards the firing line. Airborne lead contaminates the air shooters breathe. Paper targets wear out quickly without protection. Ranges need a barrier between targets and the backstop that lets rounds pass through while preventing dangerous backspatter from returning to the shooter.
Rounds pass through the freely hanging rubber curtain and into the backstop behind. The natural rubber then closes around each impact point, leaving only pin-sized holes. This self-healing property maintains the curtain as a barrier against backspatter and ricochets — even after thousands of rounds across multiple calibres.
When rounds hit the rear armour plating, fragments and lead dust are thrown back. The Linatex curtain, hanging freely between the target and backstop, catches this backspatter before it reaches the firing line. This significantly reduces airborne lead dust hazards and protects against ricocheting fragments — improving both safety and air quality.
The curtain significantly reduces noise from shots striking the rear armour plating. Paper targets last far longer with Linatex protection in front of the backstop. Curtains can be rotated between positions to extend service life, and patch kits are available for larger damage areas. A white variant improves target visibility for camera ranges and electronic sensor targets.
